Default Smith and Wesson making no lock revolvers again

I don't know how many j frame users here, but Smith and Wesson has decided to offer some of the j frames without the lock. The 442 is one of the models.

Just a heads up for those (probably only a handful) who like revolvers but hate the internal lock.

Thank you for the information. I am a long time J-Frame user. I ignore the internal lock, however, I would prefer that it was not there at all.

Thanks again,

Great news Dutchman....do you have a link to this info?

Anyone know if the weapons w/o the lock will need to be retested by the CA
DOJ?

Yep. I'll have to put my money where my mouth has been the last few years and pick up a no lock 442 with a nice letter to S&W. Hopefully I won't have to do as deep of a cleaning for the first trip to the range on subsequent S&W purchases as I have for the IL models.
