Lots of Kimber's! How do you all like your UC II's? Are they reliable as I have heard and read alot of horror stories about them?

Yes, he has been very busy lately. He'll take care of it when he checks his PM's.

I didn't get a PM, however one of the SM's contacted me. You have the icon now.

My Kimber Ultra CDP II very reliable. It took several hundred rounds for me to have confidence in it after reading various postings about reliability, but I have no problem carrying it, and depending on it to go bang. It conceals very nicely but needs a good holster.

Kahr PM40 also reliable and very comfortable to carry all day.

I think I was the last one to go on a semi-tirade about the UC II I got.

Everything I ever said that could be interpreted as less than "OMG this thing is beautiful" should be disregarded as the ravings as an impatient twit.

Granted, I did have to blow through a rather large amount of ammo to get the thing to work correctly but since I started my "screw it, I am going to blow +P rounds through it until it works" policy my issues have almost all gone away.

The first 50 rounds feed without fail, accuracy is amazing for such a little .45 and it really is a gorgeous firearm. Once it starts getting dirty it gets a bit more whiny. If I'm in a fight where I have to reload 15 times I figure I'm dead anyway so there's no real reason to sweat it.

I imagine in another 1000 rounds or so even the issues I'm having now will be gone and as soon as that happens it's getting shipped off to robar for a nice NP3 coating.

I have absolutely no confidence issues carrying it as a primary CCW.

And seriously, once you shoot one you're going to lust after it. Avoid shooting one at all cost would be my advice

Being that I have no CCW, I carry the "Pocket Chuck (Norris)". Just whip out the little guy and let him go to town... However, I must caution you... the requirements to unleash him is the same as using deadly force...

Just kidding... My Glock 23 would be my primary carry piece, if I had a CCW.

H&K P2000 9mm v3 (DA/SA w/decocker & no manual safety) using Rem. Golden Sabre 147 gr. JHPs.

HKPRO: The P2000

Carried in a TT GunLeather High Quality Leather Gun Holsters IWB*

They are also available in .40 S&W & .357 Sig each w/a variety of trigger/ decocker combinations.

It's also my IDPA & Range gun. My P2000 has turned all my other guns into safe queens. Almost 2,000 rounds through it and not one Failure To anything.

Oh yes, it's fully ambidextrous.

*Carried all day long today in 98 degree temp on semi-marathon shopping trip w/SWMBO; made large cash deposit at bank; in and out of car/stores; very comfortable and hides like a champ. Met a friend or acquaintance in just about every place we hit. No one was aware that I was CCWing.

that's the way it should be. Cool, comfortable and concealed. Marathon shopping trips are a great way to test the system.

No horror stories with my Kimber here. I love my Compact CDP II, which is my primary carry piece. Just two FTF, but was later solved after the break-in period and not using the OEM mag, and replacing it with the Kimber Tac Mags. 900 rounds later, still no FTF! I love my Kimber!

BTW, did I tell you? I love my Kimber!
