I took my XD out to a 4 day Hand Gun class at Front Sight. I put more then 1200 rounds through it... The gun ran great, not a single problem, and I shot it well.

Because of the constant reloading after the second day I had to "Tape" my thumbs... Contact with the mag had caused little cuts and sore spots... the tape helped. I did have the Springfield mag loader with me... and it's almost worthless.

Don't get me wrong... LOVE the gun, but not the reloader that comes with it.

My 5906 has 'full capacity' magazines, in fact many of them.
They are not HI-cpacity,,, but full capacity.
There are lots of us that firearms with full capacity mags that are grandfathered in from before the ban. Yes it is a shame we can't legally aquire more.

You may wish to purchase some 10 round capacity mags. just for the instance of sharing your firearm with others for training.
By the way you can legally rebuild the full capacity magazines if they ever need it.

Hey SPC I think the argument over "high" capacity vs. "full" capacity is the same argument as to whether it's potato or potatoe.

It doesn't matter what you call 'em, they're still on the banned list.

Where can I get 10 rnd mags which don't cost and arm/leg and work reliably without modification?

BTW, I've never had sore thumbs from reloading my Smith mags. Maybe I'm tougher than I look?

Default sore thumb?

I get it that you don't like the XD magazine loader, but it does help a lot. The best magazine loader that I found so far, is this one

maglula Ltd. - The world's #1 magazine loaders and unloaders !

You can buy it here at Springfield XD - Springfield XD Parts and Accessories Hi-Cap Magazine Holsters

Most gun people can load a mag faster without the loader.

You are right and wrong.
The semantics you lean to with the term of high capacity mags is letting the gun control groups use 'their' terms.

Kinda like 'assault weapon' compared to 'semi-auto'. Isn't an 'assault weapon' a machine gun, or full auto?

spc

Sure it is just semantics,,,, or is it?

Default I didn't want to get sucked in....BUT

Hi, guys
I didn't want to get sucked in on this one. There are "regular" magazines for other free places in the world. WE enjoy reduced crApSSity magazines in CCCaliforniaP, now, thanks to our leaders. Who in the H3ll votes for those idiots? Don't play into the calling magazines "high capacity". The people who fear firearms in the hands of free people want to scare the uneducated into hating and fearing things because they can. I don't want anybody telling me how many pages my reading material can have.
