Default Ultra CDP II in 9mm

I just noticed that Kimber is making an Ultra CDP II in 9mm. Anybody know if this is coming to California? Would be a good gun for the gf....she's recoil sensitive....is that the PC term?

It is not approved for California nor will it ever be under current CA law.

Ah.. my friend, you must remember that there is often more than one way to skin the gato...
Springfield has a little friend for sale....Springfield Armory

Perhaps a substitution is in order... the women, they seem to love the 9mm govt. model handsgun

Very true, but ever since CCWI turned me on the the Kimbers, I really don't want to go back.....I like my off the shelf Springfield, but I really think the Kimber is made better.... The custom Springfields are a different story altogether, but they are mucho dinero....

CCWI, why would the 9mm Ultra CDP II not be approved for CA? Just curious.

No mag disconnect. We'll never see another new 1911, unless the law changes. We can only get 1911's that were on the list before, grandfathered in.

My theory....

No mag disconnect. The .45acp CDP was on the CA DOJ before they required a mag disconnect.

edit. Bombard beat me to it.

Yep what you and Bombard said.

A 9mm Ultra CDP II, that is a bummer we can't get it in to the state.

Though I have seen many women shoot the 45ACP Ultra CDP with great success and a lot of men & women looking for a handgun that they can shoot on a regular basis with out breaking the bank.

I am sure there are a lot of people in both categories what would love an Ultra CDP in 9mm. Me included. BUMMER

By a CDP in 45, register it and then send back to Kimber for a conversion. Completely legal.

Why do I have the feeling they will not do it?
