Default Why certain guns not available in Reseda?

Every Turner's ad I look at, there's a little disclaimer on certain guns not available at the Reseda store (city) and I'm sure it's not that they're out of stock on them.

Is there a gun ban in the city of Reseda? I've heard of similiar events like this, but haven't found the right info.

Thanks.

Reseda isn't a city, it's a part of the City of Los Angeles. IIRC Los Angeles has some local gun laws, like you can't buy ammunition by mail. That might have something to do with it.

Some specials show it, while other don't. Maybe they don't allow the sale of certain types of firearms in that city? I see the Bushmaster Carbon-15 shows it's not available there, but the others are.

It's an ordinance against Saturday Night Specials...they don't want guns that are smaller than a certain size. Unfortunately, it also restricts smaller "high quality" guns, for instance, the S&W j-frame, et al.

At least that's what was explained to me at the Orange Turner's when I asked the same question...

No guns with a 2" barrel or shorter.

IF the state had preempted the barrel length, correct. Because they have not, they get too.

Default Firearms aren't the only thing restricted.

You can't sell a holster for a restricted firearm either.

Is that Turner's policy, or the city ordinance?

Default It's the city ordenance

Here's a long story of how Anti gun Bratten and LA city are.

Alfonso leather works has been in business in No Ho for many many years. He made holsters for the PD since before there was dirt. Shoulder rigs, belt rigs mag holders speed loader holders hide out holsters the whole gambit. He also made leather for your favorite western movie stars and some that weren't your favorites.

For the last 10 years give or take the son has run the store I believe the dad has passed away

He doesn't sell guns he does leather work.

A LA city gun detail guy walks in shows him a G26 asks if he can make a holster for it. He takes whatever measurements he needs the cop leaves. He builds the holster the cop comes in looks at the holster and hooks him up.

Alfonso goes to court and says how do I know what is legal or not I work with leather not guns. How can I keep up with the laws?

Judge agrees. But Alfonso is still out big $$$ for the lawyer and now has a record of being arrested.

I recommend you visit Alfonsos leather works on Magnolia Blvd in Burbank outside of LA city.

WOW!!!
Can you say ENTRAPMENT
This guy obviously was not in the buisness of doing anything illegal. Looks like an over zealous cop out to make a name.
Can this leather guy sue and recoup his lost $$$$ and clear his name????

I really hate to tell you this. A G26 Barrel is larger than what is stated in LA's Ordinance.

As I recall there is more than just the barrel length that is taken into consideration. I think bottom of grip to top of barrel.
