Kimber Price Increase 6/1/08

Kimber announced today they are increasing price June 1, 2008. his is a across the board increase, they have not said how much. Any firearms on backorder will be shipped at the old prices.

If you are thinking about purchasing a Kimber, not is the time to place your order.

I have been told they are currently running two to three weeks behind on shipments.

OR raise the yearly buy in from $10,000.00 to $30,000.00 like another 45 company. They lost 120 dealers doing that.

I only have one HK, they come first. I must not allow the Kimbers to outnumber the HKs.

With the rising cost of materials and natural resources, Kimber can no longer keep pistol pricing where it has been. Effective June 1, 2008, Kimber will increase our pistol line-up an average of 2.4%. You will all receive an updated pricelist shortly. All current backorders, and any new orders scheduled for delivery prior to June 1, 2008 will be honored at current prices. So please take this time to evaluate your inventory and order as needed at current pricing.

Well bummed they are raising prices. But honorable company to give dealers a heads up so they can load up if they want to.

Believe me. They have no choice. Prices on some materials are expected to double by the end of the year, and they're already really high.

Sell the HK, then your priority problem is solved, use the meager profit as a down payment to purchase another Kimber...you will thank me later.

Thanks for the warning! Well, I guess I need to decide by the end of the month if I should get that Kimber Ultra CDP II.
