So if I like the lightweight govt. frame guns...... and I like the Kimber grade or better... what else is out there?
Does wilson make a lightweight gun?
As a LEO I can get a caspian titanium frame gun and build one... expensive but I could....
Smith has a lightweight gun but I have never heard anything about their 45 govts... good or bad.... and they have an external extractor... that's kinda like breaking one of the big 10 commandments ain't it? I mean Kimber tried that and got spanked big time...

Any suggestions?
You might want to talk to "A Guy" before the end of the month when the prices go up.

Well... I have heard of this mysterious "A Guy"... buy don't know who that is...
I am assuming it is a "guy" with a connection...

I have a friend who is a guy who owns a gun store and is a Kimber dealer and could order from him....He teaches with me and he books classes with me....

However... I was at the range today teaching a shotgun class... shot my glock 10mm and suddenly felt the Les Baer idea talking to me... buy a really accurate 45 old boy... that's what the voices said... and I always obey the voices....

Have you tried the 185, or are you going to stay away from that load?

Hi all,
I guess I just joined the dark side. I finally decided which gun to buy and ordered a Kimber Ultra Carry II with ambi safety, night sights and rosewood grips from "a guy" yesterday.

I just wish Kimber wasn't so backed up with their orders. I hate having to be patient for it to come in and then have to wait another 10 days on top of that. But, I have to say that I am very happy to have finally made up my mind so I can stop thinking about it now!

OK, OK, now,,, just get over it and enjoy your new toy/tools when you receive them. They are very fine firearms and carry very well.
