Default Kimber Gold Combat Stainless II question...

I'm possibly interested in picking up a Kimber Gold Combat Stainless II. There are actually two models listed on Kimber's website:
Gold Combat Stainless II™ (07 model) .45 ACP
Gold Combat Stainless II™ .45 ACP New

Other than the different grips, I'm not sure of what the differences are, but there is a big difference in the price. I'm hoping one of them has the internal extractor. Does anyone know why the "New" model is more expensive than the "07" model?

Thanks

Both models have internal extractors. The new model is offered in 9mm.

The new Gold Combat family has narrow slide serrations.

Target crowned 5" bull barrel.
French border cut on the slide.
24lpi checkered.
flatten and serrated top slide,
cocking self rear sight
And micarta grips.

These are the differences from the original Gold Combat.

ooo.. rear sight cocking shoulder..
I hope that is what I think it's for, i.e. using the rear sight to hook on my belt or holster or heel of my shoe to rack the slide to do one handed malfunction fixes.
Traditionally, I've always used trijicon sights which work well for that. I understand the concept of a lower profile, i.e. less snaggy, sight like Novak, which is more of a ramp to prevent things from getting snagged while drawing.. but then, there is a usage to having a rear sight with some snaggability.
Looks like Kimber now provides the best of both worlds.. Way to go Kimber.
Hmmm.. now I need to contact this guy.. hmmm
