Shot one at Evans tonight. Saw and held the other one! Nice gun. There was a G30 there too. Holding them back to back you could feel the difference. I would pick the G30SF over the G30 any day.

BTW Evans was hopping tonight!!! CCWI had a stampede of students and a good handfull of CalCCW FM/SMs there! Fun fun fun!!!!

Glocks IMO need the night sights. The stock ones are well.......ugly. IMHO

Not that I own either but...if I were a betting man I would bet that Glock has no FTFs, no slide sticking, doesn't need a mag change to become reliable, no spring replacements for 10,000 rounds, doesn't go to full auto, etc., etc., etc. Pull the trigger and it goes bang EVERY time. I guess (just for fun) you could send it out to be stippled. That being said I am still going to pick up a SIS Ultra Carry one of these days, and that will weigh in heavier. I like the steel frame because I have seen a few aluminum frame guns where the checkering has worn. The SIS Ultra also has a rounded frame and mainspring housing. I know the SIS is not on the list but...where there is a will, there is a legal way.


Now I will grant you that it is not as small by a long shot but if you like guns that work every time then you might want to follow PROJECT: BREAK MY HK45 for the next year. I just want them to go bang every time. Going further off topic, the 10 round mags are out for the HK45c, they aren’t that pretty but for mag changes when needed an extra two might be wanted.

Agreed. For those who like to go Glock! (and I'm looking at *you*, DV) the G30SF looks like a great carry gun.

That's correct; it's either 10+1 or with a low-profile magazine that makes it about 1/2" shorter, it's a 9+1.

BV and myself shot the same G30SF. It's a nice gun. I have a G21SF, and side by side you can really tell the difference between it and the standard model. It's not night and day, not even close, but it's a welcome modification IMO.

I sold my G30, because it's a fat gun and I never really could get it to conceal well. My G19 conceals fine, but the 30 is just too thick.

That 30SF is nice, though. After shooting my PM9 with the +p+ ammo, the G30 felt like a .22 to me!
