Default NorCal Kimber Dealer

Anybody know generally which of the FFLs in the Modesto/Stockton/Sacramento/Roseville area have the best prices on Kimbers?
My usual FFL doesn't carry Kimber.

I'm looking to add another, probably an Ultra CDP II or Ultra Eclipse II.
(Or if anybody knows a guy in NorCal or wants to do a NorCal group buy, let me know that too.)

I bought my Kimber Compact from Wild Sports in Orangevale. I know the Gun Room in Elk Grove, and Sportsman's Warehouse in Roseville also carry Kimbers.

Wild Sports had the best price when I bought mine. Sportsman's Warehouse also seems to have decent prices, especially when they are running sales.

Wild Sports will not quote you a price over the phone, and I have heard some pretty bad customer service stories about them. Both Sportsman's and The Gun Room will at least quote you a price over the phone, saving you a trip.

Alquist Arms in Turlock has Kimbers. That is where I bought my Glock 22. They had the best prices from Fresno to Stockton. I looked at the Ultra Carry II they had and it was right around $900-$1000 if I can remember correctly.

If you don’t mind being treated like a piece of human garbage for a better price on a firearm, WildSports is the place.

Sad but true. I would like to say that I was looking at a shotgun a while back and the guy behind the counter was very friendly. He must of been new.

Face it folks, no gun store can make a decent living any more AND show you good service.

I've bought guns for those places mentioned here and several others in the area. The only places I can think of that I would go to now are Sportsman's Warehouse in Roseville or River City Guns (Fruitridge between I5 an Hwy99).

I do miss the old days. Bill Davis and a couple other small mom and pops in Sac. It was nice. Gary Theary (sp?) for parts - the world was a much nicer place back then.

My suggestion for up here would be to search the FFL lists and find someone that works out of his house/barn and then get references on him. That would be the best for up here.

The last several handgun/rifles i've bought, i've made the trip to SoCal. A GUY I know there has good prices, great service and will order up exactly what you want. Best trainer in the state to boot. Gotta love the whole enchilada!

That is why I like Alquist. It is a small store and I beleive it is family owned and run. They are all real good people there.

I go to Alquist when I visit my Grandma in Turlock, but he doesn't have his Kimber prices on his website unfortunately.

+100 on Wild Sports, but the low prices are had to resist. I just go when the older CAS gentleman is working.

Sportsmans is the same distance from me as Turlock, so I guess I'll try calling them to start.

Any dealers in El Dorado County?
Any feedback on JB Firearms in Rescue/Lotus/Cool area?

When dealing with Alquist he always told m to fid the lowest price for what I ant and he would beat it. Richard and bobby are great. I would recommend them to anybody, unless you were trying for an OLL.

I've bought form Wild Sports and Cordova Guns off Sunrise.

Prices are good for in stock guns at Wild Sports but they don't want to order for you- if they do, they quote weeks before getting it in. Their answer is that, one guy who has the FFL only "receives" the guns on an irregular basis. So, the gun could be ordered a week after you pay for it, and received a week after that, only to sit around for a week to be received. Then your 10 day starts.

Cordova is small and a bit surely but ordered my Kimber Ultra CDP at the best price up here. It took less than a week to get in. I also ordered my S&W 340 PD and they got the serial same day to start the wait. I only paid 1/2 up front each time. Not full like Wild Sports.

If it's in stock, then Wild Sports, but don't order from them.

I also suggest you check out Alquist. My last 6-7 handguns was purchased there. I am more than happy with the service and they are good to work with.
