You can have laser grips on firearms in OC, but if you want to get an OC CCW, you can't have a laser grip on your permit-listed firearms.

Thanks for the clarification that it only impacts OC CCW holders.
Now the only carry dilema I'm faced with is which gun goes best with a suit, laser gripped or not...

That depends. Brooks Brothers, no laser. Armani, definitely laser.

And I hear that in lasers, green is the new red.

Why? The no laser policy is only for permits issued by OCSD. Doesn't make any sense if you have a CCW from another CA agency that you should have to remove your lasers when traveling to/through OC.

I think it was meant as a sign of respect to remove one's laser when entering OC since they are on the forefront of pro CCW. But I believe you are right that when passing through, you may have a laser on your CCW pistol issued from another County if your issuing agency allows them. You are subject to your issuing agency's restrictions. But as OC requires their permit holders to inform an officer on contact that they are presently CCW, it is a good rule to follow for everyone. Common sence can't be issued by any agency.

I trust your opinion Hoser and I am sure you are correct.

However, just because I am allowed to behave a certain way in my own house, does not mean I have the right to presume I can behave the same way in someone elses house.

As I am aware of the laser restriction on OC issued CCWs, I did not want to presume that it would be OK to carry a laser equiped weapon in OC, even if Humboldt County says it is OK.

As has been said many times in this forum, "It is the perception of the local authorities or their designated representatives that is important, not necessarily whether they are right or wrong".

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it.

You are correct sir. Military lasers have been green for some time. Civilians are just now catching on. Green lasers are very chic right now.

I would buy one except A- I don't like lasers and B- I want more than a 1 hour battery life.
