I believe they can be ordered from the Kimber Store on the Kimber Website.
In my case, I "Modified" the hex screws that came with OEM grip panels to make them fit the slim bushings that are required for the slim grip panels without penetrating the magazine well. Surpirisingly they are still long enough to mount the OEM grip panels using the slim bushings as well. Thanks, |

You can get almost any style of grip screw at Brownells - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools
hex, torx, slot, phillips, stainless, blued, parked, they have them all. |

Since all my 1911's end up going to Springfield Custom Shop (okay, almost all of them), I get my hex head screws from them. They always refinish them to match the gun.
For my Wilson Combat CQB, I called up Wilson and get a set coated in OD Green Armor-Tuff to match the gun. My second Les Baer TRS has them stock, with standard width grip panels (off-list, not the CA certified basic version) I order the TJ's screws from Brownell's for all my Sigs, and I think I have a set of Hogue screws on my Beretta 92FS. I probably got those from Brownell's, too. |

If you're going to put a gun on your CCW permit then the weapon must meet OCSD specs when it's inspected (functionality, trigger pull weight, etc) which includes a 'no lasers' specification. But for a gun you just take to the range, AFAIK, there is no ban on lasers.

I think his question is "You OC guys can't have lasers, I can, so if I come to OC can I carry my CCW gun with a laser?"
And the answer to that is "I don't know" Since you know that OC has a no-laser policy, if spending any significant time here (beyond just driving through), I would probably remove the laser just to respect the rules of someone else's house But if I were stopping at a friend's house and then leaving OC, no, I probably wouldn't bother. But again, this is just what I would do, which is not necessarily what you should do! |

In Humboldt County lasers are permitted on CCW weapons, however, if I was coming down to Orange County, which I am planning to do some time in the future by the way, I would make it a point of removing the laser from my 637. Thanks, |

Is OC's laser ban County Code (e.g. no lasers at all on guns in OC) or just specific to OC issued CCW permits?
If it's Code, then no matter where your CCW was issued, you should remove your laser before entering OC or transition to another gun on your permit. If it's only on OC issued CCW permits, then the restriction wouldn't apply to non-resident CCW's from another CA county and carry whatever you're permitted by your issuing agency. I'll be in Newport Beach next week and this would be relevant to which weapon I'm bringing so any help would be appreciated! |
