It is done by stock, a senior member found a store in lakewood had old inventory. 45 were 20.99, 9 were 12.00. He bought all 12,000 of semi-auto ammo they had. He did it today.

Why dont you guys just reload?

Sounds like a real pain to chase down ammo like this and to still pay 3x more then what it costs to make your own.

I have yet to buy brass since guys like you all just toss the stuff and I run around behind and grab it, lol. With not buying brass it costs me about $150-$175 per 1k rounds.

Some thing to start thinking about but I am happy to not be hunting down ammo stock at WalMart and still am able to pay alot less.

Personally, I just don't have the time. Between work and my 3 and 4 y/o kids, I'm lucky to find time to go to the range and maybe golfing once a month. Oh ya and this site along w/ glocktalk.com take up alot of time too, LOL. How long does it take you to reload 1K rounds?

Depending on your reloading setup/method & how anal you get with it, 1k(+) would/should take anywhere from 2-3.5 hours w/o the tumbling/cleaning-polishing, not a break sweat rate, YMMV

fwiw: You can do it in steps, one day sort/tumble, then ..........
- Everyone has a different method, Just make sure to monitor/WATCH/check the Powder Drop for Every case.

Based on QUALITY progressive: Dillion 550/650

It does get hard with the young kids. I reload too, but right now my production is down to a few hundred rounds a weak of practice stuff. I can do more, but I have been busy on the computer too.
