Default Ruger SR9 ?????

Just saw one in a "Hanguns" magazine. This may have been discussed in another thread but I can't find it. Looks like it has all of the California stuff, mad disconnect, 10 round magazine, loaded chamber indicator. Anybody know if this will be offered in California? I'm not a Ruger fan but this one looks different then the bricks they used to sell.

The internet rumor (and you know what those are worth) is that the gun failed to pass muster with the state because the loaded-chamber indicator wasn't 'obvious' enough, and Ruger didn't plan to change it. Mind you, the state hasn't ever really come up with a standard for what a 'good' LCI looks like, AFAIK.

Who knows the reality though. In the meantime, I'd get comfortable with one of the guns already on the list.

Wow, they actually have a "mad disconnect" now?

On a couple of other boards I've been on, I've heard that the guns are jamo-matics and have other issues.

Yeah, sounds like first year gun blues... Anytime you start with "A radical new design from scratch..." you're bound to have to work out the kinks..

Well, as long as it's just a rumor... maybe they couldn't find it.

I had a client running lubricant tests on his ... had failure issues. Tried to blame lubricants until his own brand of lube made it malfunction .... ate the crow quite nicely. Not sure about the internals on this product. I do own Ruger stock ... Symbol:RGR ... a good value right now.
