That is second generation stuff. The current 4th generation is very hard to find in the civilian market. Only a few people seem to have access to it.

Well, I picked up my new G22 today. Can't go to the range till Friday though
. Spent all night at the emergency room last night (my 9 mo. old has RSV and Bronchiolitis). So between work and helping the wife my schedule is full. But on Friday my bestfriend and I are definitely going to put several hundred rounds down range and I can not wait.

I like my G23. It's a lot like your G22, but it's got a little more recoil and muzzle flip than your g22 will have. Another way to think of the GLOCK trigger is that is kind of like a DAO LDA without a restrike capability... The trigger pull will feel the same every time you pull the trigger. It won't be as heavy as a typical DA pull but not as light as a typical SA pull.

Congrats on your new Glock. I too am a fan of the .40 Short& Wimpy, but only when I need to carry a Sub Compact. Since my personal preference in manufacturer doesn't build a 3" .45, it was a good compromise.

I love the trigger on my Glock. The first round requires a full motion, but after that you only need to release the trigger just slightly until you feel a little click. At that time the trigger is reset and ready to be pulled again.
I was recently at the range with a friend of mine who also has a Glock and he was complaining about his lack of accuracy. He was blaming it on the short barrel on his G27. I noticed he was releasing the trigger all the way after each shot. I told him to keep it depressed after the first shot, reacquire his target, and then release just slightly until he felt the click of the trigger resetting and then fire again. He was pretty happy with his accuracy after mastering the technique. I know this is probably nothing new to most Glock people. Just thought you might want to give it a try. ![]() |

I am the proud owner of a Glock 22 as well. Just picked it up last week. Already put 200 rounds through it. Excellent handgun, very simple and efficient. I can see why the CIA & DEA issue them to their agents.

I wondered that myself when I first read the post but figured I must not be understanding something.

This MAY be a county issue. Up until recently, in EDCo, if you had your ser# you could add the gun. I did it myself. I could actually see some of the "shall issue" counties issuing even if you don't have a gun, IF they like looking at their numbers.

It is most common among married couples. The weapon is registered to one spouse but qualified on by both and included on both CCWs. Thanks, |
