Amen to that. There's a reason why certain employees of the US government choose to carry suppressed .22cal pistols with subsonic rounds. Very discreet but still gets the job done.

Likewise, a "controlled pair" (I guess the term "double tap" isn't PC anymore) center mass will do the job in most pistol calibers whereas shooting someone in the arm probably isn't going to be lethal no matter the caliber.

He ain't no surgeon... but he works very closely with them. For what he does as his day job, he's an integral part of the team.

People have traditionally used lead for bullets because it is very dense, soft, and cheap. Gold would also make good bullet material, but obviously it is way too expensive. Copper bullets, @ close to $4/lb is starting to get pretty damn expensive, although they would probably function pretty well, I would not want to buy too many.

Also, in addition to the raw cost of the material, copper is more difficult to melt and cast, again raising the prices. I can hardly imagine the cost of 1000 solid copper bullets, ouch. Lets hope we can keep using lead/copper jacketed for a long time to come.

Interesting - the specific gravity of gold would sure screw up my come-ups for the Tac rifles...

True, silver would be a better substitute, and has the added benefit of dispatching vampires and other sorts of undead.

I have a tractor and I have been using it to push around a lot of snow lately. That has nothing to do with bullets or zombies though.

I have a tractor also and it has a blower. Kinda like shooting a gun. Lower the snow blower, aim the chute and fire. It will put the snow where you aim it.

Needless to say I have been moving plenty of snow the last 50 days or so.
