Default 40 S&W great price at WallyWorld

Found a great price at the Madera Wal-mart on Federal 40 S&W, 180 grain FMJ. Their value packs (100 rds) go for $27.97, including tax end up with a final cost of .3014 cents per round. Not bad for Federal 180 grain IMHO as I ordered from SG Ammo last year buying bricks of Remington UMC 165 grain for .28 a round.

No offense but you slipped a couple of decimal points in your calculation.

Ok, help me out here. I paid $60.28 (including tax) for 200 rounds. $60.28/200 = $.3014 per round on every calculator I have in the house. Did your abacus come up with something different? I extrapolated out the number for anal retentive types such as myself.

Error was calculation made in Dollars, declaration made in Cents. Should have been either 0.3014 Dollars or 30.14 Cents

Easy mistake.

Easy to miss. The boxes are really small (no trays) and are a bulk pack. I had the clerk pull them from the case to assure they were marked as containing 100 rds.

I got hung up on the four digit decimal .3014-I would have better understood 30.14 cents. Good price.

Walmart in Clearlake is about the same price most of the time.

Did they make you provide a drivers lic to buy?

The Walmart in Santa Rosa asked for my DL about 9 months ago. I thought it was a policy like buying beer to verify my age even though I certainly look over, well, old enough to buy without being asked my age but she entered my DL into the computer before I knew what was going on.

I aksed her "Did you just recored my DL?" She said yes, it's a new policy.

Haven't been back yet, but that was the only Walmart to ever do that.

Nope, no DL requested. I paid cash, transaction was over in a NY minute. Might be a Brady Bunch sympathizer that manages that dept. Guess you've got a baby face that needs age verification. (lucky guy!)

No DL in anderson or redding walmarts. But the lady in sporting goods did have to call a manager because i guess their new policy is that only a manager can sell ammo.
