Default Lc9

I recently bought a LC9 and found the same thing. That is the loooooongest trigger I have shot. It has taken several boxes to get used to it. I like the gun and I don't think too much about the trigger now.

Has anyone with this had a "lazy thumb" bump the mag release? I know I know...training...but the frame's taper seems to make this a recurring issue.

I haven't had this issue with any other semi-auto to date...so it must be me.

No, I've shot about 150 rounds in mine and haven't had that problem. But I've decided that it's going to take too long to get used to the loooonnnnggg trigger, so I have 8 days to go until I pick up my new XD-9 Sub-Compact.

I was really hoping that I was going to convince my wife that she really liked the LC-9 in order to justify the XD for myself. Now I have to come up with a different reason. Any ideas?

And I know, I am remiss on the pictures. It's on my list of things to do this weekend.

I am NOT a fan of Turners but that is a decent price. Then again I have seen them from $359-$379 all day long so the "sale" is on Turners markup.

I am still on the fence as I didn't like the snappiness too much and the shape bothered me a bit.

I am thinking about a PM9 (I love my MK9) or the new Sig 290, Beretta Nano, Kimber Solo, Rohrbaugh or Boberg XR9S for a smaller lighter "pocket gun". I am not sure about the Kimber as while my MK is small, it isn't exactly light.

Like I said, on the fence...

I went ahead and put my $ down on the LC9, but not at the same local shop I started dealing with. The first one was going to come down to $450 from $475. The other shop came down to $395.

I bought my last 2 and did a transfer through the Newtown and bought this one from Mosquito Creek. Both shops will continue to get my business. I may buy my next one from Big Horn, they seem pretty decent there too.

Pick up day is the 13th, but I may not have an opportunity to shoot until the weekend. Range report and pictures to follow.
Well I did my transfer of guns through newtown last Saturday. Me and another guy from calguns went there to swap guns and have my HK shipped up to redding so I didn't have to drive back down there. The lady said it would ship out on Tuesday, well we called back on wednseday and there was a recording saying they were closed until Thursday. So Thursday we call them and ask them why its taking so long for them to ship my gun, they apologized and said that is not how they run a business and it would for sure be sent out that night. We then call the store in redding on friday and askedif it has arrived yet and they told us no and that newtown had just called them to get another number to ship it so they didn't even ship it out yet. So we call newtown today and ask them why it is taking them a week to ship my gun, well according to the lady there its not their fault, my store didn't fax them a certain number they needed to ship it. Well any person with common sense would have just picked up the phone and called them to get the number but not them. She blamed it on everyone else but them. So from the day we did our paperwork down there it is taking them 7 days to even send my gun out and the day it shows up here the guy I swapped guns with is pretty much picking his gun up from the 10 day wait and mine hasn't even started yet. That place is a joke, they apparently have no organization or knowhow to even ship a gun. I will never go back to that place again and should have gone somewhere else. Sorry I didn't mean to threadjack just real upset at newtowns service

The LC9.........I got to shoot two last weekend. I wish Ruger had put more effort into them, charged $75 to $100 more, and made a real mid range pistol people could be happy with. Feels cheap, trigger long, first smooth, then a grind. Neither example I shot had messed up other than the mag dropping early on one, which was probably operator fat thumb.

Ha! The same delay and other dumb bs happened to me a while back on a transfer.
If you go back to my old threads on the p380 you’ll see some statements almost word for word to what you are saying....except all of my frustration was caused by the incompetence and lies at Nice Shot in Redding. Go figure.

Sorry OP

I have a LC9 listed on my CCW, and that kit looks like a great idea. The only problem is I think that might cause problems with the Sheriff's Dept if for some reason my gun needs to be examined. The class at SBCO made it pretty clear that modifications were a no-no; maybe with the exception of grips.
