Default Anyone Carry the new Kimber Covert II series pistols

EDIT:

Answered my own question by calling Kimber.

Covert II is Not sold in CA. Thought i saw it on the DOJ, i was wrong.

I like how it looks so much! Maybe i will have a CDP II refinished in the Desert Tan.

Saw your edit. Yep, not on DOJ list. Older model is, no tthe new camo version. Just like the Desert Warrior is not, but the Warrior is.

fast forward 6 months. . .

So I'm looking at the DOJ CA approved list. . .13 days ago the Ultra Covert II was added to the list

Now I need to come up with money to buy one! The Covert was the 1st gun I ever layed my eyes on...love at 1st sight!

disclaimer: OCSD does not allow laser's on CCW's.

I agree. I want personal cammie.

I want a 1911 with flesh colored grips and frame and a blue denim slide.

You guys are driving me crazy... went out and shot the Ultra carry it anywhere too thing tonight...
again... no jams... ok one... but it is the onliest one in about 450 rounds and it was because I let my grip slip and the slide lock thing got stuck in the up position during recoil....

I have just about decided I like the idea of an alloy frame govt. model type 5 in. gun and I like the covert features just fine and here ya are dissin' my idea of a new fancy pants gun... Ok.. I can live without the camo stocks laser contraption... but the rest of the gun has all the features I kinda like...

So it ain't a cdp... but I like the sights better ... and it aint just black and silver... and ...oh I don't know...

So how do these alloy framed guns last anyway...?
never shot one much till this kimber came along...

Make it the Pro with full size grip and a 4 inch barrel. Sell off the stupid laser grips to recover $200 and bingo - we are in business!

How much longer will it take for the Kimber Pro Covert to be added to the DOJ?

It probably won't happen. To be added to the DOJ list now, a semi-auto pistol has to have a magazine disconnect. 1911's don't have one. The ones available here now are all grandfathered in.

Is that right? It won't happen for the Pro and Custom version of the Covert? I'm new to this, but i don't understand why DOJ would certify the smaller 3" in the series and not the rest of the Covert line. Bammer...
