You need the 7 rounders with the stel bottoms. You can get them in black or stainless. 47OXC is stainless 47OXCB is Black.

They also make a 8 rounder that sticks out of the frame by one extra round. These are great for the range or for a reload in a shooting. 47 DOX.

If you pay more than 30.00, your paying to much.

For my Kimber Ultra, I carry at least two Wilson Combat #47DOXB.
As mentioned above they are 8 rounders, black Armor-Tuff. They extend about 1/2 an inch past the bottom of the frame with and ultra thin base pad.
Sometimes the 7 rounders are in the pistol and the 8 is the spare. But I've had no trouble with using all 8 rounders.

Wilson mags are what I use as well, although Colt mags with the Tripp kits work just as well. I've never owned a Kimber, so I don't know whether those mags would run as well with the Tripp kits.

Put another 200 rounds through it today. The last 150 went off without a hitch. I was using 2 kimber factory mags. I bought 2 new wilsons for next time.

Congrats Prodman!

I'll +1 the wilson's. I always keep a 7 rd in the gun and carry one or two 8 rndrs. One nice thing about concealing an Ultra is the fact that the mag well is shorter and so it doesn't swing out from the body (on most folks) as bad as a full size grip. To maintain that shorter grip profile, i use the 7 rdr for concealment.

BTW, I had my last feed issue with mine at about 300 rounds. I now have about 2000 through it (I usually shoot the compact for range work, then run a few through the ultra - don't want to wear the baby out. lol) I really think the last problem feeding was because i hadn't cleaned it in about 150 rounds of blazer...

That is my set up too. 7 rounder in gun and 1 or 2 eight rounders as back up.

In fact I only have one 7 rounder for each, my Ultra and Compact. All the rest are the 8 rounders. Yes having the mag stick out is a slight fashion violation. But in a gun fight fashion/CDI factor don't matter!

Just picked up my Ultra CDP II today. It was an expensive day at the renge, 300 rounds of ammo and two Wilson Magazines. I know the instructions say to break it down and oil it prior to breaking it in, but I did not want to take the time to read the takedown instructions, it does not break down the same as my Colt's. I just loaded the original Kimber magazine with 5 rounds until the last three loads, when I put 6, 7 and 7 rounds through it. Have not even opened the Wilson packages yet. First 100 rounds, WWB , second 100 rounds, Remmington UMC and the thrid 100 rounds WWB, all 230 Gr. It was flawless, no FTE or FTFeed. This is now my new favorite to shoot, ust to be my Gold Cup Trophy. At 25 feet it is dead on, after 50 rounds there was a three inch whole where the X use to be. The first few mags, I had a couple to 7's, but after that, no 7's and very few 8's. I was also shooting fairly fast, not taking my time in between shots, I did need to get through 300 rounds. It was not that much more snappier than my Colt 1991A1 compact, which is quite a bit heavier. Gotta love that weapon, does it really need a breakin.

Forgot to mention, my arm is tired, not use to gong through 300 rounds of 45 in less than an hour.

I guess one more really doesn't hurt in my case....

How many rounds do you have thru the gun?

I only had 300 through it before the qualification. And now I have about 450.
