Default Night sights

I have replaced the stock white dot sights on my KP 345 with Meprolight night sights.. Should I switch them back in the interest of being legal?

There's nothing illegal about night sights, and I doubt that they would be restricted from CCW weapons in your county. But you can call your sheriff's department and ask.

No county does not allow night sights. Don't get them confused with lasers.

Yes. Some counties (OC for example) do not allow lasers.

I don't know if this is true but I've heard about prosecutions in other states due to CCW holders *not* having night sights ... in other words, a prosecutor can argue that shooting in low light without the assistance of night sights is negligent.

Of course, they are only concerned with scoring convictions to get more promotions and pay raises, so if you have night sights, they can easily invent an argument as to why you should get convicted for having them.

As for me, I have night sights. I realize that if I ever have to use a gun (and I hope I don't), it may very well be in low light or at night and I need to be able to see my sights. I also think it's a good idea to do what the cops do and police departments generally have night sights.

In addition, I put the same sights on all of my guns, which makes life a LOT easier when you have the exact same sight picture on every gun!
