I figure,,, if one of my primaries is down for any reason,,, repairs,,, modifications,,, or any other reason,,, I have another primary ready for carry... It has happened once so far... I sent out my Kimber Compact to have the slide Black Chromed,,, so used my Ultra Carry as the primary... How about you ??? ===================================== <><> Putan <><> |

Makes since to me, and it's what I plan on doing once I get my CCW.
Right now, the three guns I have listed on my app are a Sig P228, and HK USP Compact .40, and a USP Compact 9mm. Eventually, this is what it'll probably look like. Sig Sauer P229R .357Sig (This will be my next purchase. I'll probably get a .40S&W barrel and a 9mm conversion barrel for it.) H&K USP Compact 9mm (This will be what I carry most of the time.) Rugar SP101 (With CTC Lasergrips. This will be my backup gun.) |

Could you list, for instance a " Sig P229R .357Sig/.40S&W" hadn't thought about it until i thought of the .38/.357 example. I would think it POSSIBLE (though not necessarily probable) as the barrel is not a serial #'d part. I'm pretty sure though, that this would be a county dependent thing - some might allow it where other would definitely not... I'm pretty sure Orange County would NOT allow this, just from the rest of their rules that I know about.

I just go by size/comfort for the clothes I'm wearing.
There are 8 guns on my permit ranging from a NAA mini-derringer to 2 different .45ACPs. I just go with what will fit my wardrobe for the day. It's usually the Kimber or the PM9, as those are the ones I practice with the most and have the best holsters for. (BTW, I've never actually carried the NAA...I've picked it up intending to a time or two and just start laughing) |

Some counties are will to put a #*/#%& under the caliber. Most don't allow it. It would be another line on your CCW. That does include Orange County.

Really? so you would just have to list it as .357 and then what would happen if you were carrying it w/ .38's??? This SEEMS bazaar to me, but then, I'm not one to judge.

A revolver shoots both calibers without a barrel change to the gun. That is one line. On a semi auto, if you have a 357/40, that is two guns.

I have two on mine. Primary carry is the Glock 27. If I'm wearing very light clothing that might reveal, or if I decide to pocket carry (usually while running so I don't sweat all over the gun) I go with the Kahr PM9. I've never carried both but would do so as primary + backup if I ever had to go to a particularly bad area against my will.
