1. Springfield EMP=Conceals very well, very lightweight and has been very dependable.

2. S&W 340PD= Also conceals very well, very very light. A winner all in all categories.

3. Springfield Champion= Most consistent and dependable 45cal I own. Larger and heavier than the others but still conceals very well in a MS Versa max II.

I envy the folks who are able to list more than 3 guns on their CCW. I have a couple more that I would like to add.

Thanks Brian---
Cool - I'll add a fourth this spring. Kimber - they are seductive. Wonder if Jack talked him into the switch.

be good now!

I ordered a 640 based upon a recommendation from Marc Morganti at Gemini Customs (great 1911 and revolver work, guys!). I'll be sending it to him for a trigger job and to bead blast the gun for a matte finish, and maybe a new front sight. He says that the DAO j-frames can be brought down to about 8 pounds reliably, and his action jobs are top-notch.

Still looking for a holster. I'll definitely get a pocket holster, but I'm also looking at the Galco Concealable and the Kramer belt scabbards for OWB carry. I will likely carry it OWB with larger grips most of the time, and switch to small grips for pocket carry (and switch to .38+P with the smaller grips, although I'm not even sure I would carry it with .357 Magnum loads at all just yet).

I'm also looking at the Sig P239 in .357SIG. Single stack, light, but I haven't held one yet. I'm curious as to how concealable it'll be, as my preference lies with OWB carry.

Definitely still getting the little 1911, but not just yet. I have some other expenses that must come first. I'll definitely get that next, I'm just tossing around the idea of the P239 right now.
