Default Where can I find Ranger T?

I went to my local gun shop today looking for the mythical Ranger T in 45ACP and 40S&W. No such luck, just the Lawman JHP.

I asked the clerk and he told me Winchester's policy is LEO only. It's legal to own, and buy, but the company doesn't want it sold to civilians.

Is this true? And is it available through other channels? I am using Remington JHP and they have been accurate and no feed probs, but I would like to ugrade for carry use.

Just be carefull buying online. A lot of companies will lead you to believe you are buying the latest and greatest and then send you some older "Ranger" ammo.

The link from hbliam is the real deal.

I'm having trouble believing people are buying into the I've got to have the latest and greatest ammo fad. Shoot them again.

Put your mind at ease, if you are walking the streets without the fastest, latest, heat seaking, pedal spreading, major organ finding, turns to dust if it ever misses your intended target, will bend around corners, double secret probation ammo and are forced to get into a shooting shoot them again.

There isn't enough difference between the social ammo brands out there to matter. Are some better than the others, sure but not enough to live on. Shoot them again.

It seems like Ranger is the be all and end all on this board and that's cool it's a premium ammo for social occasions but remember LAPD had shootings with Ranger "T" and it DIDN'T OPEN the .45 slugs went through just like ball. This didn't happen just once.

Do what LAPD did and SHOOT THEM AGAIN

It is not the end all, however you want as many things in your favor as you can get. It is better the Federal Hydra shok and Winchester Supreme SXT sold at the gun stores.

What's the difference between the Ranger T and the Ranger SXT? Winchester's web site is pretty quiet on the details.
