This is from the other site before it got canned so I thought some could enjoy it here.............
I love this gun and have no issues so far with about 300rnds. I did have a slide lock back with 1 round still in the mag but I am a 1911 guy and sure it was due to my thumb on the slide stop. It never happened again and the gun is flawless. My mods are a Wolff guide rod, all Wolff springs in both mags and slide/receiver, Schere slug #5 plug, alum inspection plate, and Heinie slant pro 3D. In short I love this gun and it is now my new CCW with the Raven gear. It actually feels lighter and slimmer when compared to the HK USP 45 compact I have been carrying in a reinforced mouth leather TT holster. Since Kydex is so much thinner and durable I feel like I have a thinner gun even though the 21sf is larger and heavier. The optional extended belt loop wings really spread the weight of the weight across my Wilderness 5 stitch belt. As for the way it shoots I cant complain and it is very accurate and smooth on recoil. In my USPSA matches I do quite well for having only 1 match with the gun and it being my first ever Glock. I tried some grip options with biker tubes and the Pachmayr glove grips but figured I dont want more "do dads" to get in the way which will eventually wear out. They also make the grip feel larger which on this gun isnt something I want. I shot well with and with out them so decided to just take them off. First target pics are my very first 200 rounds at a indoor range shot from 15-20 yrds. All individual targets were 10 rnds with the exception of I doubled on with 10 rnds but 1 handed. That target looks the worst and I am sure it aint hard to identify. My opinion is that static shooting at paper means nothing but my groups werent so bad. I do tend to flinch with a new gun so some groups were nice and as I got tired some spread out. At USPSA my shots places very well with most all being in the A&C zones. If I need to pull the belt through the loops grip on which is not what I wanted. I got the idea today to look at my Milt Sparks gear for my 1911's and had some leather belt loops which I replaced the rubber ones for. It is perfect now and I really think the loops should have been leather to begin with. http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/2226/dsc03044l.jpg Last edited by Brian_1911 : 10-27-2009 at 11:37 PM. |
