Default Kahr Pm9

Ok.-KAHR PM9.
I got it and tried 6 different types of ammo, including Ranger "T" +P.
Excellent accuracy and 100% reliable. Put 300 rounds through it, bench rest, double handed, single handed, double taps. All OK. Got an extra 7 rounds mag.
Very happy! It will be going on my paper! Weeding out the safe queens and rock & rolling with the good ones!

Congrats on the new gun...I've had the same positive experience. You may find you're doing more pocket carry.

Congrats on the new PM9, they are sweet little pocket guns.

Love mine, perfect pocket carry.

You made an excellent choice in firearm. I have not had a single problem with my PM9 and have run all the same ammo you stated through mine with zero issues.

Congrats! Same experience with mine. I DID have issues with the extended 7 rd mag. I sent my gun to Kahr & they sent me a few standard 6 rds in exchange since they had complaints from others about that issue. They also did a little feed ramp polish but they don't really need anything out of the box...
I'm sure you will but I would put a lot of rounds through that 7 round mag before trusting it 100%. Maybe yours will be fine.
I'm in my 10 day wait on my .45 Kahr, replacing my heavier MK .40 as my mid-sized CCW. Love that PM9!!!

I have 2 magazines, 7 rounds capacity and a 6 round capacity. All three performed to perfection. You got a .45? which one?

Default Pm9

It's a KP4544N, just a little larger than our PM9's - 1/2" or so in length. height etc. and a little over an oz. heavier. I think that kicks it out of pocket category, at least for me but should be a nice mid-size IWB carry. In some carry situations, the 9 will be a secondary on my ankle. Unfortunately, the PM45 is not Cal approved. I trust the P45 will perform as my other 2 Kahrs have. My larger carry has been a Sig for years.
I'm glad the 7 rd mags performed well for you. It's been a couple of years so Kahr might have sorted that out - or I just had "one of those". All the more reason to test what's relevent to us, eh?
Someone mentioned Kahr's customer service in a previous thread and I second their comments that by starting out very pleasant in the dialogue, they went above and beyond for me just my being civil. No different than most companies I suppose.

Nice choice. I love mine.

I asked because I knew that the PM45 is not on the DOJ roster. What a crock!
I have arrived at the conclusion that if you kick the dogma out the door, the Glock 39 is today's best, smallest .45 platform.....Incoming!!!! 45GAP in sight!!! Need to keep looking at Kahrs....KP4544N...OK.

Ok. I am not a Kahr expert.
I had to go and dig around for info. Make a few comparison, etc. Seems like the Kahr KT4544N is an excellent choice when you compare it to say, a Glock 36, Glock30sf, not sure about the Taurus Mil Pro 145 or 745, Taurus has too many issues, DA/SA gun, not in same category.
If you find a deal, as Kahrs are not cheap, then I would go with that. Looks to me like you did your research and it paid off. The Kahr KT4544N is an excellent choice for California, in my opinion. I am sure that you will enjoy that gun. Smaller then a Glock 36 with similar capacity.

I have a KP4543N (no kp4544n to be found at the time) I carry every day, never had a trouble. Maybe put 400 rounds through it.. Thinking of getting the stainless slide matte blackend and trigger worked over. Only carried my other firearm ( sig P220) a couple times since I got the Kahr..

I hear ya. I ran around all summer with the PM9 in pocket...now when I strap on a compact glock, it feels like I'm sporting a brick.

Here is report I did:

Well I finally received my Kahr PM9. It came in on the 29th of month. Then I had to do the Dealer Record of Sale (DROS) plus the mandatory 10 days wait period imposed by the state of California, cool off period, before I could retrieve the weapon from the dealer, become a crazed maniac and start shooting at anything that moves, according to the hippies running this state!!.
I had to wait an additional few days until I could get away to be able to shoot it. I cleaned it a couple of times and dry fired it several times. read the manual a couple of times.
Well today I went to the local pistol range, located on an open field with clays, pistol and rifle facility, nestled in the pine forests of southern California mountains.
Nice clear day, temperature in the 70s with the wind at our back at about 12 kts estimated
I aimed to check for functionality rather than accuracy. Reliability and functionality seemed to have been the issue with some models manufactured by Kahr Arms in the past.

I fired:
50 rds. Remington UMC. 115gr. Yellow box. FMJ. AOK. Accuracy. consistent, Good.
42 rds. Winchester WWB. 115 Gr. (White Box) FMJ. AOK. Accuracy. Good, Varied.
50 rds. PRVI Partizan 115 Gr. (Made in Croatia) FMJ. AOK. Accuracy,Good, varied.
50 rds. Winchester Ranger "T" 124 Gr. +P. JHP. AOK. Accuracy, consistent, dead on.
50 rds. Federal FMJ 115gr. AOK. Accuracy. Consistent low of POA.
50 rds. Remington UMC. green box. FMJ 115Gr. AOK. Accuracy, consistent high of POA.

NO malfunctions whatsoever! very accurate little piece!!
The magazines are a bit peculiar. Make sure when you load the ammunition that the primer side of the cartridge rests all the way into the magazine, it seems like the last 1/8 of an inch wants to fight you. Tap it against something like you do the Glock mags. (I do!)

We have a winner! It worked perfect, bench rest, two handed, single handed, double taps, etc.

I will list it on my CCW. Kahr recommends a minimum of 200 rds. for a break in period. I shot 300 rounds including the Ranger "T" +P cartridge, my intended CCW round without any problems.
