with tax that is about 37 cents a round... I have to buy 1000 rounds to ge that deal out the door.

Too bad their website sucks ass, and I cannot even try to order from them.

CCI and wolf run about that price, sometimes a little less for non reloadable. I would like to get another round or two in stock before the 962 goes into effect.

"UMC" has nothing to do with what the casing is made of. "REM-UMC" has been Remington's headstamp as long as I've been shooting, and that goes back well before even plastic shotgun shells came out. IIRC the term comes from the manner in which Remington got into the ammo manufacturing business in the first place, which would have been in the late 19th Century, but I'm too lazy to re-research it.

I've fired lots of REM-UMC, and never a steel case. Lots of plastic ones, though.
