Default Ammo shortage

I don't know if anyone else saw this on Yahoo news but, I found it interesting. Nothing we all didn't all ready know and, no definitive answers as to when this madness will end. I just thought I would share this breaking news that there seems to be a ammunition shortage nationwide!!

I have been watching prices for 223 beginning to drop and the availability is up. 308 is still through the roof and much of it is sold out. I haven't been keeping track of pistol ammo though.

Pistol ammo? You mean someone has pistol ammo out there somewhere? Do tell. Where is this cornucopia of goodness we all seek?

No thanks

I'm up to Reno about once a month or better and check out the local WalMarts and some of the gun shows. It is hit and miss but I have scored 38 and 9mm with 3 box limits in the last couple of trips. I usually try to go in early. I did pick up a sleeve of 5000 primers at the gun show last winter for $185.

I am finally seeing signs to the effect that the ammo situation is beginning to improve. Walmarts around my neck of the woods are beginning to get generous amount of cal. .40 and some 9mm, I have not seen much in the way of .45 yet.
Another sign that things are easing up, is the increase of people on the net selling their ammo, "pushing" their ammo in fear of getting stuck with ammo they hoped to sell at a profit.
There will be losers!!! I buy to shoot, not to sell, so I could not care less if they get burned, au contraire, they contributed to the shortage, so let them eat it!

+1000000000

I hope the hoarders end up with a garage full of reloads they bought for $44 for 100 rounds. Rat bastards!!

Hey man, where are you seeing the .40 at WW. I haven't seen any at either WW in Moreno Valley in over 2 months. I was fortunate to get 1000 rounds of WWB from CCWInstructor but had to travel to Huntington Beach to get it (thanks again Greg). I'm not that far from you and I work in Loma Linda so...share the wealth.

It is much improved online. Ammunition to go was flat out of 9mm and .38 a couple months ago. They have plenty now, but for about $5/50 more than early last year. Still no .380 however.

Default .380

I searched for .380 and bought the last two boxes of FMJ at the Stockade in Westminster. Enough to qualify the gun

I'm worried that Governor Girly Man will sign this one into law. Someone needs to open a sporting goods store in Primm, NV selling nothing but handgun ammo to Californians. They would sell a ton of ammo.

Keith.
I am all over the place, I visit many different airports. I am set up with 40 S&W, if that is what you shoot I can pick up on next opportunity my allotment, of six boxes from Walmart, keep receipt and when I go to March ARB, meet you.
Like today is Camarillo, tomorrow is Whiteman air, Monday is Van nuys, etc...it is tough surviving in aviation now. Like the song....have to keep on dancing, have to keep on dancing......
