Default best sig for ccw?

I've been looking at a beautiful stainless p226r with an eye to making it my primary bedside/range gun. I'm wondering now, though, if I should consider a smaller sig so that I can carry when I get my Utah and Florida CCWs and am in a reciprocating state...

Unfortunately, getting two is not an option now - my wife still needs to get 100% on board with the first one.

Any thoughts? Must I add that I mean thoughts on the gun, not the wife's outlook...

Thanks for the clarification.

I have a P226 and put it on my application. It is a big heavy gun, but if you are not going to be having it on you every day it is doable. I put it on the ap. as a second weapon in case my primary is inop.

I think a P226 is a great gun.
For carry purposes though, a P-228/229 is good. A P-220 carry in .45 is good too!

If you have the right ammunition, even a P232 is good for ccw...

One of the CCW Instructors here in Las Vegas carries a P232 as a ccw....

I bought one for my wife many years ago, but put it on my ccw permit...

I carry a standard P-226 with a Galco Skyops holster in the 5 o-clock position. Haven't been made and I'm still able to wear comfortable summertime clothes.

Sig 220 carry all the way! It is my primary and I love it. Deadly accurate, I cant say enough about them, I carry it everday, all day in a comptac infidel and could forget it is there. You WILL not regret this pistol. It is built for to hell and back reliablility.

My Co-Worker has a 220 Carry. Very nice weapon! I don't think you can go wrong with any Sig.
