I did not compare the Glock 30 and the SF models side by side. Most people are of the same opinion as you, they can not tell the difference.

I'll post pictures of both next week when I get a chance. The 'bulge' on the backstrap of the SF is smaller, by about 1/4".

Doesn't sound like much but I notice it when I shoot.

I have a 30 and two 30SFs. I love em!

A "Glock 33 1/3rd".

10 + 1 capacity, but with a slimmer slide than the G30.

I have a 30sf and a 26. The 26 is obviously much more comfortable to carry, but if you prefer 45ACP then I would definitely recommend the G30 or G30sf for IWB carry. I can tell you from personal experience that it is no problem what so ever in a comp-tac holster. Also, I did compare the 30 and 30sf side by side and the difference is hardly noticeable. The grip area on the SF model is slightly slimmer and would probably be a better firearm for someone with smallish hands, but IMO it's not a big enough difference to be overly concerned with.

Yep, I have heard the same from others. Most can not really feel the difference, probably if you have large hands. If you have smaller hands than most, it might make a difference.
By the way, I slipped up, round capacity is 10+1 in the chamber. Thanks to whoever caught that!

Well thanks to all for the info. I pick mine up tomorrow at 1300 hours from my FFL guy. I already have the minotauer(spelling?) holster for it. I also ordered their magazine holder and I'll be darn if its the same set up we use for our Tazers.

I have a G30 and it's my primary carry weapon. I carry it in a Blade-Tech UCH and I don't have any problems with concealment or comfort. I usually carry it 10 to 12 hours a day. I'm not what I would call over-sized but, I have a pretty healthy mid section.

I also have a G23, and I'm waiting on my TT Gunleather "Mike's Special". So I'll let you know when I get the new leather, what works better. My G23 has the 13 round mags since I've had it since 1990(pre-ban) and I like that feature. It's on my permit as well but, I just started shooting .45 a few months ago, and I love it! When you talk .40 vs. .45, to me...the .40 has more muzzle lift or "snap" as it may. The big .45 is smoother but, I shoot with both hands all the time. Grip doesn't seem to be an issue as long as I hold on!!

Took my new (to me) Glock 30 to the range yesterday following shooting a defensive pistol comp using my Glock 22. Definitely a difference between the 40 and the 45. I agree that snappy is an accurate term when referring to the 40 compared to the 45. Overall, however, I doubt that there is a significant difference between the two. Both hold 10+1 and I shoot equally with both.

In two weeks I'll shoot a steel challenge match at AVGC and I'm thinking about shooting both guns just for the fun of it.

Default Glock 33 & 1/2

I just put my G36 slide on my G30 grip as suggested. What a great combo! Lighter thinner with the 10+1 capacity. I love it. This just may be my perfect fit in a CC weapon. But I want to test it for reliability before I fall in love.:.

Yeah, just swap the upper 36 and mate it to the lower 30.
I eagerly await your report!!!!.
I would not be surprised if Glock comes out with one like that. It would make the present 30 kinda obsolete, but I have read enough threads in all kinds of gun boards about people doing that and reporting that it works well. I mean tons of write ups!!
To me, it would be the "non plus ultra" set up. There are some people trying to see how they can get the 36 upper by itself!
