Before you start posting facts you might want to do a little research. What ever resource you used is not current. Our FAQ's are a good place to start.

NV should be done with the first list in the beginning of July, so until then cross your fingers.
The change doesn't go into effect until 10-01-2007. ![]() The change also increases the length non-resident NV CCW permits are good for. Goes from 3 years to 5 years.

I do have my fingers crossed.
I am a seasonal resident in NV. and do have a current Nv non-resident permit which is coming up for renewal. I will renew even if Nv. offers recriporcity to one of my 4 other permits and my wife will be training for NV. as well. The part I like about this bill is the increased legnth of time the Non-res permit will be valid for. Something I intend to do is investigte whether I can receive my permit as a resident, being I have seasonal resident status. spc |

Revolvers are a class of handguns now. Once you qualify with a revolver of any type, you are good to go to carry any revolver. I believe the permit will just list revolver. Autoloaders still used the current system. Initial they were going to change it to how the revolvers are, but it got changed in order to get the bill out of committee. ![]()

Packing.org does not list the states you listed as having reciprocity with CA. The states they list will honor CA CCW permits.
Reciprocity means that both states involved will honor each other permits. CA does not honor any other states permit, therefore CA will not have reciprocity with any other state.

Packing.org is not the shining example of being up to date...the ONLY place you should accept as being valid is the Official States pages. That being said, Packing.Org is a great launching point.
Keep in mind, the owner of the site has almost nothing to do with it anymore. Reciprocity means "sharing". To have reciprocity, each state must accept eachothers CCW. Since California doesn't accept ANYONES ccw, you cannot, by definition, have reciprocity. Quote:
Seems like a minor point of arguement, but those kinds of errors in fact (mistaking one term for another) is what gets people in trouble.. "Well, Officer, I was told on CALCCW.COM that California has reciprocity with X, so I should be able to carry in California with my X CCW". Also, keep in mind, even if California DOES establish reciprocity with another state, I seriously doubt they will accept Non Resident permits, and if they do (by some fluke), I don't think they will accept CA residents with Non Res permits from another state (a la Colorado). Please keep in mind, if someone is going to say something that is not factual, it affects the websites integrity...this is why folks are quick to jump on, and correct erroneous information.
