Default Another step forward . . .

. . . toward completing my quest. I had my interview in San Bernardino County this morning and have my scheduled class date and time for Dec 20. I feel a lot better now that I am this far along and realizing that my background investigation is the only hurdle that remains (not a very high hurdle since I have a clean record and prior military security clearances).

My timeline:
Feb 27: Picked up application
Mar 3: Called for interview appointment
Nov 26: Interview, photograph and Livescan
Dec 20: CCW Class

The interview was most informative and included an excellent discussion on the ramifications of CCW and what happens in the event of an incident.

My hats off to the very professional approach taken by San Bernardino County.

I'm sorry, but I can't get excited about a 10-MONTH process to get a CCW that isn't even complete yet. It depresses me.

No question that it is too long but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel that's not a train coming in the opposite direction.

10 months wait is better than not being able to get one at all.

the wait is well worth it.

Default CCWInstructor

Just a quick note to CCWI to say thanks for the assistance by reviewing my GC and suggesting changes. Your expertise is a great help to all of us.
