This is the kind of news we like to hear. As someone very close to this forum has said often, "It does not take a lot of votes to swing an election for Sheriff." So, that means, you get 1000-3000 CCW believers or holders' votes over to the pro-CCW side, and you have your man in office.

Roger may just have some inside information that we don't. The name was Jay LaSeur. I believe former Assemblyman for 77th District. From what I've read, I like the guy. We've never met. He stands tall for Rights but not "special" rights for "special" interests. He stood up to Barbara Boxer's "Heritage Wilderness Act" bill. My paraphrase; he wanted the people to continue to have access to the millions of acres of public lands that Boxer's bill would completely close off to any form of back road or off road access. He wanted to keep these lands open for all to use and not lock them up and make them inaccessible to people that enjoy them. (I'm sure I have a link somewhere if anyone is interested.) I love and respect our environment and I ride a Dual Sport motorcycle. They can coexist. I was a Boy Scout and a Marine. I've retired twice; and still wondering what I am going to be when I grow up. Life is good. Be Prepared Semper Fi |

The link below has some real good info on this topic. We may not need to wait three years for Sheriff Bill leave! It looks like we should all contact Jay and let him know we support him.
