The longest wait is over. I'm slowly making progress.


June 1st, 2011 Called for application - received in a couple of days

June 7th, 2011 Made 1st interview appointment - 9 month wait at the time. I hear it's a year now unless you get lucky with a cancellation.

March 13th, 2012 1st interview complete - It went well. I'm now awaiting a decision from Sheriff Mims (3 to 4 weeks).

Hang in there! I just had my first interview as well on 3-8-12, it's only been 5 days but gotta say I'm glad that the process has begun .

That's awesome Disco!!!! Looks like they are speeding up the process at the SO as I got my approval letter in 9 days and you got yours in 10 . Who are you doing the training with? I had already completed the required training when I received my Approval letter .

Yea, I'm trying to 'expedite' the process the best I can on my end! I took the Saturday class and it was pretty good. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM.

Took the class Wed & Thurs at The Range. Next appointment with Fresno SO is April 19th.

Had my 2nd interview with Fresno SD today. I took my written test, signed the permit, did the LiveScan, and paid the $208 (price actually dropped $2 - what a bargain! LOL!). I should have permit in hand in 4 - 6 weeks. Hooray!

Crazy that's it's a year long process in Fresno .

Although, I think it's dumb to have a permit (IMO), here in Tulare is almost too easy for a permit.

I wish the state had one standard for CCW and not this county to county wish wash.
