On another note, I just recently went downtown Santa Maria Mall where Bank of American is located and saw a Security Guard in Uniform with an open sidearm carry opening the doors for customers. I did not see any signs prohibiting firearms in this buliding but did take the precautions to disarm and locked my CCW in a LOCKED CONTAINER in the car. I took my magazine out and put it in my pocket to see if this building had any metal detectors and the doors did not and no alarms went off.

My question...can a CCW permit holder go inside this Bank with his weapon consealed and deposit/withdraw $$ without getting in trouble---Say not Tell not? This is the first time I've ran into this situation, thanks for your help Mr. Brock, just trying to stay out of trouble with all your help and guidance. Again thank you, later --- Ray

Yes, unless your county has specific requirements where they do not allow you to do this.

Also, I have only ever seen one bank that prevented/stopped people from going in while armed. They had sally port style doors at the entrance and some sort of metal detector system built in to it. It would not open the second door if it detected a large "bulge" of metal. This was at a credit union in downtown Santa Ana, near the courthouse. I'm sure there are others out there like this too.

Don't bank in the S.F. Valley, you walk thru a metal detector and double doors. They will find the ccw gun.
