El Dorado Sheriff Forum Packed
It's just after 6:30 and I found a seat in the overcrowded Marshall Building for the Sheriff Forum. Sittin between two strangers who are trying to read what I'm posting from my IPhone browser.
No way to count heads but best guess is 400+ people. Due to start in 20 minutes. People still ariving. I'm sitting near an exit though! I'll try to post real time.

Explaining historic 1977 Atty Gen letter defining good cause and how to issue. 466 chairs and at least 100 people standing.

All candidates promise to suport CCW. All say needs to loosen restrictions of El Dorado Sheriff CCW.
All say three letters of reference aren't necessary. One said Scott Peterson could have got three people to write reference letters.

Interesting, no a single heckler apposing CCW Or gun rights. Weird to see everyone here on same page. Gains opened it up stating he expected some opposition due to the many phone calls he recieved. But non. Not a single community organizer against CCW.
Official count is 615 people.

Hey, were you sitting next to me? I grabbed a seat by an exit. There was one empty seat to my right and the person that took it looked like they were texting throughout the meeting :-)
Jeeesh we need name tags or something. I had to leave at 8:00 but there certainly was an excellent turnout.

easy to "talk the talk" How many of the candidates are NRA, GOC, CRPA, GOA, etc members? How many HAVE a ccw or even own guns? Have they contacted/written letters in opposition of anti gun legislation?

That was a very interesting meeting. It helped me rule out 3 canidates for sure. The amount of poeple that came to the meeting was more than I thought would show.
 As far as speaking from his heart and not trying to snow anyone, I thought Hennick did very well. So did Agostini and Hillman. They were very convincing that they had a very good understanding of 2A and felt a Sheriff had no buisiness intering his own biased ideas into ccw app. The State D.O.J. guy and the CHP guy Perez were "slick" and I dont trust either one. But I will have to watch it again and take some time digest it. Besides ruling 3 out, I was more confused about the remaining canidates. The questions were easy and didnt put them on the spot to test how they are under pressure.

I also thought that the D.O.J. was to slick & Perez was to in to himself, I did this, & I did that,, Then you should have stayed if you were that good !!!
 I think Larry Henrick & John D'Aonstio will be the big front runners. I did not get the warm & fuzzy feels from the current Police Chief of Placerville city or the current under sheriff. Just my 2 cents gunpacker
