Good article.
I think the wording got a little mixed up here though: "The current law has absolutely no standards to it, and some local officials regrettably abuse their discretion. They decide self-defense is not a valid reason to deny the gun carry permit." ------------------------------------------ Someone might want to update the map. Sutter County is known to be a "Will issue for personal protection" county, as per their Sheriff's CCW web page: Sutter County Sheriff Department I'm color blind, and the two lightest colors (yellow and light green?) look the same to me ("Will issue for reasonable good cause..." vs. "May issue with outstanding cause..."). Sure wish I could tell them apart.
