Yes the pastor article disappeared even quicker than the Virginia Tec tragedy.

That's a powerful letter. Sandra cannot revoke permits without cause. Changing a policy about an initial application standard, doesn't give her cause to revoke existing permits. Here come the lawsuits.

So if he is a level 3 reserve deputy, he supposedly would have a "reserve" CCW license. Is she revoking all CCWs for all of the reserve deputies? It should be all or none right?

Nice way to treat your deputies.

The man is a Level III Reserve Deputy and the Sheriff is revoking his license without cause? If that is the whole story than the lady has completely lost her mind. Is she trying to bankrupt the county or chase away all Reserves?

Hopefully we see a copy of the Sheriff's response. This is going to get UGLY!

Are the Reserves in Orange County unpaid volunteers? That would explain why some people (union flaks) would want to chase them away. The union wouldn't be making any money off of them. Need to have more dues-paying union members, not those pesky volunteers. Just like the PSRs.

Yep... OCSD Reserves (Level III, II and I) are all unpaid volunteers.

The County Republican Chairman no less.

I think Jack Nicholson summed it up best in A Few Good Men: "You're messing with the wrong Marine!"

I've had some personal contact with Schroeder and I can tell you he will not let go of this. He has the money and the motivation to push it through to the end, whatever that might be.

He had some influence on my originally getting a CCW. I was having lunch with him (on the same day Janet Nguyen was elected) and we got on the subject of CCW's. He gave me some helpful information on the process and encouraged me to make application. It worked out well.

Lots of people hate him; he's not a good person to fight. He is the person who worked against Janet Nguyen in her contested election, if you remember the months long fight to get her vote counts and many recounts completed, where she finally won by three votes.
