Default Stomping off in a huff?

S Todd, You assume that 1) I let the opposition run me over without a fight - oh contrare - I have been in the fight for years and 2) I am not planning to do anything now except moan about debate rules not being fair and again, allow the opposition to run me over again - way off target there too - still in the fight.

Many of us do respond to every negative, erroneous, slanderous, misleading, biased, piece of propaganda report, editorial, blog comment, discussion at the work, conversation overheard at the store.....We are doing all we can do to change the thinking of the general population, woo the enemy through both salient argument and charming invitation, and challenge potential negative legislation.

I resent the implication that we are lazy, or too stupid to preserve and restore our rights. CA is not the laghingstock you claim. Many folks understand the political situation and support our efforts.

I won't be stomping off in a huff, not now, not ever.

Well said Professor. Too often people don't engage because we're told "you can't change city hall, the legislature, politics (take your pick), so don't even try." We need to be better than that kind of thinking. Maybe it's time for a little change WE can believe in.

My question would be, how many people does he meet on the street that are carrying and he doesn't know it. Then I would ask him, how many of those that are carrying has a license? How would he even know?? Does he feel better having the unlicensed carrying or would he feel better having citizens properly trained and licensed?

Funny you say that. I have had several conversations with people who say I don't want people to carry because it scares them. The fact that they don't know who has a gun and who doesn't also scares them.
I'm sitting there thinking you don't look scared. IF only they knew!

There already are 20,000 federal gun laws and regulations on the books. If those laws haven't made America safe by now, why should we think 20,001 laws will suffice?- Harry Brown, Libertarian
