Although I wish you folks the very best, I am absolutely certain that the sheriff really doesn't give a hoot about you. If you think you're going to bounce her out come 2010, then you'd better get started NOW with
PAID newspaper, radio and TV AD$ detailing actual accounts of DGUs (by filing a report for every single DGU so it is on the record, whether or not a shot was fired) and you'd better hit her HARD with public education campaigns offering the
truth.
She will come out in 2010 and spew the usual and predictable anti-gun buzz words, "
In the past several months I took over 2,000 guns off of our streets, making our neighborhoods safer ..." yadda yadda ... She will rely heavily on the public perception that a gun has a mind of its own and will kill someone, given the chance, even if it is owned and held by one of the many respectable people who spoke at the first OC BOS meeting. She will not bother to tell people she ONLY removed guns from lawful gun owners.
She'll talk about the Glock sub-compact 9mm you want to carry for self-defense and prop up a howitzer as an actual example of the guns you want to carry "without anyone's knowledge." She'll pick a BIG,
BLACK gun that has a menacing appearance, of course.
I have ZERO respect for this ... woman. She is
no different than Nancy Pulosi or Harry Reid or Chuck Schumer or Ted Kennedy or the Brady Bunch. She is the punching clown who rises up and says, "
I know you disapprove, but I'm going to do this anyway. ESaD."
The brain-dead liberals and fat, lazy, apathetic conservatives who do NOT align themselves with gun owners and the 2nd amendment (just because OC is mainly conservative doesn't mean they are automatically on our side) will see endless stories (assisted by the very left-leaning media) about this "child" (
a 17-year-old gang banger, a fact that will be intentionally left out) who was
"killed" by a gun owned by his family, and the the suicides (people who realize they actually voted for Obama, for instance) ... she'll talk about how many "guns" were raked in by the Guns-for-Food program (without mentioning that most of them weren't worth being used as a prop under a short table leg.) She'll stand there in her uniform and that smug look that would make Rosie O'Donnell proud, and roll her eyes at any mention of the need for "shall issue" hoping that the UNinformed masses will nuzzle up to her and march in lockstep as she leads them in a "guns are evil" chant for the TV cameras.
I have the solution,
the ONLY solution to ridding California and in fact, AMERICA of ALL of these restrictive gun laws. Can I post it here? NOPE! Not in detail anyway.
