Default 8/4/08 CCW program hold lifted. Now issuing

Good Morning, PSD has been given the okay to begin issuance on CCW’s.

They will begin review of all files that were pending issuance prior to the hold, then the current applications that have been on hold. Be patient and bear with the process as they will be overloaded for a few weeks. The new policy is not in place on the website as of yet, I will post a copy on this thread as so as it is out.

A family law attorney is en route to get her brand new ccw now. She was approved for further processing before the hold. She has been told to come get it.

I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this. I was convinced this was going to be a "permanent hold" on the CCW program.

Great news. Perhaps a moment of fleeting sanity in an otherwise insane time period?

That depends on what the policy turns out to be.

The fact that it was held off this long gives me hope. But I'm still very worried.

So, what is the recommended time frame to apply for renewal? Still 45 days or maybe 60? I know at least 2 of us are due in about 70 days from now.

I called for my interview at 43 days, Melissa told me I should have waited until 30 days, but she did the interview without any additional debate.
