Lets see. Muggings mainly happen to random victims; a one-in-a-million shot. You'd have to be crazy to think it could happed to you. Oh,,, sorry,,, we can't issue to crazies.

Sounds like sort of a CCW Catch-22.

Felons don't need a CCW because they all carry anyway. So felons get to carry, and the rest of us will need to jump through hoops to have the same right. Unbelievable.

Actually, we don't even get the chance to jump through the hoops. We'll get denied right off the bat.

We've had many threads and MUCH speculation about what's happening at the sheriff's office. One of us actually knows where this whole thing is headed. Speculation and vague comments by political figureheads is what creates hype, rumors, panic, and confusion. Isn't it time that that one person stand up and lay to rest all the misgivings and miscommunication that is going on here? At least something, toss the dogs a bone before they break down the screen door.

Information is posted by "that one person" as it comes in based on how relevant it is to the current situation. "That one person" might know a little more than the rest of us but not much. If you have specific questions feel free to ask.

As far as how quickly information is desseiminated... People, please try to understand that we all have full time jobs. We do our best to stay on top of things and keep everyone informed in a timely manner. Please excuse us for any delays along the way.

You mean not all people obey the law, especially gun laws?

I don't really have any questions myself as I live in a different county. but I do see a recipe for bad things boiling here. What I understand (based on their posts) from that one person is that they indeed do know something but decline to give any details. If he doesn't know much more than the rest of us then please do let us know. But I see people doing what people do (start hystaria) and one person in the corner who may be able to alleviate the situation, and no communication.

I'm sure you can see what I'm saying.

Default That one person may know a little more than we do

He certainly knows what he has been told but since no action has been taken yet, what actually falls out and happens is not known yet by anyone ecxept perhaps the sherif. This person may have livelihood and reputation on the line and feels it is a poor choice to diseminate information that may change before it happens.

Here's a pretty good statement: in approximately thirty days the first viable Pro CCW Political Action Committee in Orange County will be up and running publicly (it is doing so quietly now).

A lot of us are putting in a whole C R A P L O A D of time to do this right, and we realize that not being able to disseminate information can frustrate people. But there are reasons for that. Our opponents are making mistakes, and if we point those out to them publically now, we lose those as issues that we can win with eventually.

We are doing this smart. But when we roll things out, we will have a valuable weapon that every person can use to educate the public and advance our cause, all while using nothing but the truth, facts, and the law.

We did not create it. Two other groups have joined forces with us.
