I hope you guys down there get a good sheriff to replace the current whopper of a mistake the OC Board of Supervisors appointed. This Bill Hunt guy seems like a good fit.

Trying to figure out who is the most annoying to listen to...Hutchens or Boxer or Hillary??? DAMN! It is like nails on a chalkboard to listen to her speak...and then there is the content of her message.
 There were a lot of good, articulate speakers at the meeting. Some passionate and well spoken people with valid points for the Sups to listen to. I just hope they can listen to their constituents when the time comes.

All those folks were wearing "OCCCWS" .com buttons. Slick Billy was not even there! I know for a fact OCCCWS will not be endorsing him. Truly a sad video.

ZUMNDAD, I can tell from your avatar that you were there. Thank you!
I was there (at more than one meeting, as were many of you) and spoke out against the Sheriff's policy. Ordinary California Citizens Concerned With Safety (did you notice that all of the people in the video were labeled "Concerned Citizen"?) packed that room with people. I know for a fact that Bill Hunt wasn't there at any of those meetings and didn't speak out. If he was so concerned about her policy and actions on this issue, why wasn't he there to lend his voice to the cause?

The BOS is motivated by their own special interests and a win for Hunt makes them look bad. BILL HUNT FOR SHERIFF 2010!

I thought that video was really very well done. Why wouldn't OCCCWS support a pro-gunner? That doesn't make any sense. The rumor is that the SAFEOC people raised a lot of money at the On Target event and the Lott event is coming up. I thought they both were affiliated.

Different groups, same goal
OCCCWS and SafeOC are not affiliated but are working towards the same goal - getting Hutchens replaced with a Sheriff who respects all the rights of the Orange County constituency.
OCCCWS should be commended for the work they have done, and continue to do, in getting the truth out about Hutchens and her group. SafeOC PAC should also be recognized for their efforts towards educating people about Hutchens, educating people about the correlation between armed citizenry and low crime rate (the 11/4 Dr. Lott event) as well as fundraising for a candidate they believe in. Come June 2010, so long as someone is in the top cop spot who is clearly pro-CCW (this obviously excludes Hutchens) then everyone wins...regardless of when they jumped into the fight.
