Uli:

A valiant effort in interviewing Bill Hunt. Nice Chap. Heart seems in the right place.

Reloader:

None of us want to get involved with anything that may set the movement back. This is, after all, a pro-CCW forum. Sheriff Hutchens is clearly anti CCW. Bill Hunt has stated that he is pro-CCW. SafeOC has decided to endorse him - awesome!

This is not a CCW Instructor / Bill Hunt issue as much as a "who's the best and most viable candidate for Orange County with a pro CCW stance..."

A case will be decided soon, and the papers will cover its outcome. Likely the papers will also cover Bill Hunt in some form or fashion one way or the other, and it sounds like a lot of us at CalCCW are staying clear of it. Candidacy Filings occur on January of 2010.

Until a few more things play out, some of us are in a "wait and see" mode. Candidates will run, candidates will raise funds and campaign, some will succeed, some will drop out.

I, for one, wish Bill Hunt the best in his campaigning. I will wait until the December / January timeframe to see how things play out and to see how I will spend my efforts in helping get a candidate elected...

But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag.... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Well I hope more "horses" enter this race, because it doesn't seem very smart for the other "horses" if there are any out there to wait much longer. The current Sheriff has already made it clear that she is going to run and I am glad to see that Ret. Lt. Bill Hunt has also made it clear. For the record as of this moment and/or unless someone better and more qualified comes around I feel that Bill Hunt would make a much better Sheriff.
