Thanks Barky. I appreciate it.

I am very fortunate to live in a very CCW friendly county with a Sheriff that trusts law abiding, trained citizens with firearms.

Unfortunately what happened in Orange County could potentially happen in my county, or any county, under the wrong set of circumstances. What happens in Orange County can and does have an impact on the rest of the CA. This makes your fight the fight of every CA resident who recognises and values not just CCW and the 2nd Amendment, but all of our fundamental rights.

Thanks again,

Poogsdad

Given my success with the Assembly Member Distribution List and that at least 6 Senators also received my email, I believe the list is accurate and that most Senators have elected to not allow the receipt of email originating from outside the Senate Email System.

Thanks,

Default Resent my letter today.

Earlier today I resent my letter to every address on both distribution lists.

I received the same number of automated responses from both lists that I did previously.

I have no illusions that I will receive some type of earnest, personal response yet. My hope, however, is that some staffer who does see the email may bring it up to his or her boss in passing or talk about it among other staffers informally.

If this happens enough, it is possible that the name "Sandra Hutchens" and her activities will begin to make the rounds of Sacramento in a negative light.

More importantly, my hope is that any politicians who may be considering giving her, or anyone like her, any type of support will reconsider or give her and her policies greater scrutiny before doing so.

In the long term it should help us, not just in OC but the rest of California as well. Professional politicians have very well developed "Self Preservation" instincts and anything that could potentially evolve into a possible liability will quite likely be avoided where possible.

Thanks again for all you do.

Poogsdad

Default Better yet

Better yet tell them they are traitors to the Republican Party. That should get their attention.

Default Letter Writing

My 2 cents. Tom Harman is running for AG. I wrote him a letter in which I thanked him for his past pro-gun votes in the State Assembly as well as the the State Senate. I then politely criticized him for allowing himself to be listed as a supporter of the "The Appointed Sheriff". In the letter, I made a passing reference to the state budget basically to make the point that if he supports her and that Republican Reps in California can't hold the line on the state budget, then what good is it voting for them. The letter I received back made no mention of his support for the "The Appointed Sheriff" and was all about the budget. A follow-up letter included a copy of my original letter as well as "his" response, and I have yet to hear back. It's been 2 months. I called his office to ask why I wasn't getting a response from my second letter and was told they couldn't discuss it because it's considered a campaign issue. They did give me an e-mail for his AG campaign though ( cynthiadeterman@yahoo.com ) . I looked on his AG campign website and didn't see a snail-mail address. I haven't tried this route yet but I will shortly. My suggestion if you live in Harman's ditrict is to hammer his campaign office and his local OC office.

Default Recall of Miller and Silva?

The only individual that actually sent a written endorsement according to Hutchens website is Campbell. Walters and Harkey are members of California Womens Leadership Association (CWLA) as are Bates and Nguyen, two of the Republican Supervisors that appointed Hutchens. The connection is obvious. The other 3 Republicans, Duvall, Miller and Silva should probably get emails as well. I note Miller and Silva are now subject to Recall by virtue of their votes for the huge California tax increases. In my mind their support of an anti-Second Amendment Sheriff is another compelling reason they should be recalled.

Default Interesting

While looking for additional Harmon contact information I noticed he is being endorsed by LA Sheriff Lee Baca. You know Hutchens' "mentor" and keynote speaker at her last fundraiser. Just more of a reason to rain emails on the guy.
