Amazing!

Can they possibly have any idea of what they have just done?

forgive me if im wrong guys im fairly new at this.

1. so by not releasing this info that would keep people from knowing places where im not allowed to carry which would than allow criminals to know where i wont be armed....correct?

2. and than on the other hand it also doesnt allow me to know where im not allowed to carry so i can be in deep caca if im caught?

so its sorta good and bad. or am i way off? did i read it wrong?

Default It could also be read as (more probable): publicly disclosing

the restrictions could place the license holder in danger.

But the logic of it is priceless.

A licensee may not be carrying at certain times, which will put them in danger. Because, you know, we tell them they cannot carry at certain times.

Not exactly.

1. It certainly is good that they're not willing to tell people where a person won't carry. Just the knowledge, however, that a person has a restricted CCW would permit a BG to make a pretty reliable estimate of where/when those circumstances were. No question -- not telling is a good thing.

2. You know. It says so clearly on your CCW. No secret there.

The astonishing part is the (hardly) tacit admission that by placing restrictions on your CCW, the OCSD is placing you at increased risk.

Following that same logic we could conclude that by restricting the issuance or permits the OCSD is placing people at increased risk.

hmmm...knowingly putting people at mortal risk through arbitrary & capricious restrictions?

Frank, the speaker immediately before me at the 5/19 BOS meeting, made the point that under federal law perhaps even the death penalty could be sought against public officials violating our civil rights.

sorry guys I'm still not understanding. what sort of restrictions would be on a persons ccw and would they vary from person to person even from the same area. I don't have my ccw as I'm still saving to buy a pistol that I would carry so I'm trying to learn all I can. I live in ventura county not oc. but I go there often enough

"Could?" Nah. It's rationally virtually inescapable.

Makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over. What a joke. I hope this is shown to the BOS, so they can feel happy about it. Maybe the infamous Grand Jury can now see the harm the sheriff has caused law abiding citizens she has sworn to protect. Where do these dolts originate... 3 mile island?

Default Restrictions on deputies

I wonder if the Sheriff would consider putting restrictions on her own deputies self protection like she does for us? What about others like Judges and prosecutors?

It's like selling someone an auto insurance policy for automobile accidents that are "business releated."
