Sup Norby Request for 5/12 and 5/19 BOS Mtng

I didn't see anything on the board about others receiving this email, but thought it might be of value to post here. I received this email from BOS Norby yesterday.

Dear Second Amendment Supporter:

We Board Members need your support on two items coming up on our agenda.

If you can attend either or both of our meetings on May 12 and May 19, the following items need you input:

May 12, Agenda Item 33, Abuse Report: We are receiving and commenting on the Office on Independent Review’s response to the incidents at the January 13 meeting; specifically the security overreaction, intimidation of CCW activists, abuse of blackberry communications to disparage speakers and the unwarranted snooping of Supervisors’ private papers.

This report is weak and generally tries to explain the unacceptable practices involved. If you have ongoing concerns or personal experiences to relate to us, we need to hear from you.

May 19, CCW Policy: At this meeting, we will be responding to the Grand Jury report, entitled “Let the Sheriff Do Her Job.”

This report was critical of the Board for our comments on the Sheriff’s CCW practices. Your continued input will help the Board craft a proper response.

I look forward to seeing you and hearing your views at our Board meetings on either May 12 or May 19—or both. Your presence and opinions are always welcomed!
