THAT is the bottom line.
By continually arguing that one person or another is at greater (real or percieved) risk, and is more deserving, is to fall into the same rhetoric that the sheriff is following.
Everyone in this country is SUPPOSED to be created equal, and deserving of equal rights, and equal protection, and equal right to life, liberty and persuit of happiness. There is NOTHING in the consitution that strays from that ideology.
