There are six approved catagories that OCSD issues under and "Avid Shooter" is not one of the listed catagories! I too have heard about this other vendor upselling his classes for years. It's only recently started to really gnaw at me because of the implications it has down the road... Mike Carona is my greatest concern. He is our elected official and a damn good one. What happens if these disgruntled customers of this other vendor take it out on Mike at the ballot boxes the next election? What this vendor has done violates the spirit of everything OCSD set up when Mike Carona took office.

On a side note. While this other CCW vendor may offer some unusual classes, please be advised that he is doing some of them without the proper licensing and what he is doing is illegal. It's a violation of CA state law for civillians to shoot full autos: Firearms Training Associates Foreign Automatic Weapons.
