I had Breakfast with CCWI this AM, he was in Northern California last week training LEO's and teaching his handgun classes this weekend.
He has gotten lots of calls last week, the weekend and today about avid shooter. People are getting rejected.
Since July of 2006 he has publicity stated on CCW boards that avid shooter has never existed. It is a Urban Legend. Even last week he stated that here.

Judging from the phone calls he has gotten, people that lurk on other sites and believing their information. One guy was told last week durning his interview that avid shooter is not a good reason, he needs a good cause.
Several others have taken classes before even apply from another CCW vendor. That instructor has told them to apply as a avid shooter. They are being reject also.
After the bad information blows up in their face they are calling, PMing and E-mailing CCWI asking for his help. He doesn't mind helping people before and durning the process. It's very hard for him to fix it after you have already screwed up.
What I have a problem with is people are paying another CCW vendor for classes, getting what they pay for. Screwing up and then asking Greg for his help. THAT IS JUST WRONG! They need to contact the person they paid.
Greg is a businessman too. If you go somewhere else and then need his help, do you expect him to do it for free? That isn't fair to Greg.
We are very fortunate to have him on this site. I know he has more important things to do than help us all.
